We, at Coachbuilt, wish everyone a happy, safe & warm, holiday season & a healthy 2017!
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of very good friend and fellow RROC member Robert (Bob) Kuhns, on May 4, 2017, shortly before his 94th birthday. He was an army veteran. Bob resided in Columbus for much of his life & in the early days of Coachbuilt, was a regular feature at the business. Bob was a great businessman, being the president of National Heat Treating & in his spare time, was an excellent artist (his work graces the letterhead of Coachbuilt's stationary). He was very knowledgeable in all things Rolls Royce. Bob could talk for hours about life in the "old days" & would never bore his audience. Bob was a very sharp dresser, and we don't think he even owned a pair of jeans. He was preceded in death by his lovely wife, Susan, and is survived by a son, J. Peter Kuhns, of San Diego, CA., & daughter, Lucy Kuhns, of Neuchatel, Switzerland. We will truly miss this exceptional gentleman & his genuine laugh.
Every month, Coachbuilt sends out an eMail 'newsletter' to our customers & friends. In it, we announce upcoming or past events, as well as a little self promotion, including announcing any special service deals. If you would like to receive this, please let us know at email@example.com & we'll add you to our list.
The Ohio Region RROC now has their newsletter available on line. They have done a beautiful job & we would suggest that everyone take a moment to look it over. It can be easily accessed at www.rrocohioregion.org/newsletter.

2016 in review...
Coachbuilt held their "Customer Appreciation Day", on Saturday, May 21. This was an informal gathering for our friends, customers & all Ohio Region RROC members. Refreshments were served & we had a good turnout. A few folks even brought their proper motorcars, despite the occasional rainfall. We shared pizza, sandwiches, snacks & soft drinks and everyone talked Rolls Royce. I think its safe to say that everyone had an enjoyable visit. Time goes by so quickly and we always enjoy a chance to see our friends again. Next year's event is tentatively scheduled for July 1, 2017. We'll announce well ahead of time to allow for adequate planning.
The 2016 RROC annual meet was held in Asheville, NC, at the breathtaking Biltmore Estate. This was the 65th annual meet for the Foundation! The RROC, as always, put on a great show. There were plenty of events, tours & educational sessions set up to keep attendees busy during the entire event. Coachbuilt was there, having set up some vendor's tables, & offered plenty of unique Rolls Royce & Bentley memorabilia. Jim & Donna reported a great turnout and they had a delightful time, as we're sure, everyone else who attended, did, as well.
The AACA (Antique Auto Club Of America) held their annual fall meet at Hershey, PA, on October 5 through 8, 2016. Coachbuilt was in their usual spaces, C2F, 63-67, next to the Sav-A-Battery location, in the Chocolate Field. Jim & Donna reported a good crowd & they were able to visit with old friends & make new ones. They will be back next year (see below for dates).
